LONGTERM PLAN
Future Plan
At Greenhills Cassava Farmstead, we are dedicated to expanding our agricultural footprint and enhancing food security in Africa. Our future plans include:
2025
-
2028
- Farmland Expansion: By 2025, we aim to open our allocated 20,000 hectares of farmland in Abia State for the cultivation of maize, cassava, and soybeans
- Mobile Application: As an Ag-tech-focused firm, our mobile app empowers farm owners to remotely monitor their farms, providing comprehensive farm management services and assistance with purchasing agricultural inputs. The app features an AI assistant for user interaction, access to an online farming community for knowledge sharing and networking, and offers low-interest loans for market purchases directly through the platform. Additionally, it includes live updates on commodity market prices and integrates a marketplace initiative, enabling users to access farm-fresh produce directly.
- Marketplace Initiative: It is estimated that 15 million people in Nigeria use food apps to purchase meals and/or groceries. In response, we developed the Marketplace Initiative, which enables users to access freshly produced farm products. This initiative connects farmers, food producers, processors, and government agencies directly to consumers.
- 50 tons per day cassava starch and Processing Factory: By the end of the third quarter of 2027, our food and pharmaceutical-grade cassava starch factory will be fully operational, with a capacity to produce 50 tons of cassava starch and 50 tons of cassava flour per day.
2029
-
2035
- Livestock Farming: We plan to commence livestock farming on our farmland in 2029, diversifying our agricultural activities.
- Maize and Soybean Cleaning Facilities: By 2031, we plan to establish a 15,000-ton capacity silo and cleaning facilities for both maize and soybeans.
- Expanded Crop Cultivation: Utilizing the river basin’s water resources, we plan to expand our crop cultivation to include rice, beans, yams, legumes, and greenhouse farming by 2033.
2036
-
Beyond
- Major Exporters: We plan to become major exporters of cassava starch, soybeans, and chili peppers, thereby contributing to Nigeria’s economic growth and increasing the country’s standing in the global agricultural market.
- Expansion across Africa: we are strategically a registered business
