Sustainable Growth Pillars

Economic

We focus on improving production efficiency, productivity, and profitability while addressing food security and economic development. Our sustainable solutions enhance functionality, quality, and farm productivity across our operations, from cassava to maize and soybean.

Environmental

Protecting the environment and conserving natural resources are central to our mission. We support projects that combat climate change, promote energy independence, and reduce soil erosion. Our agricultural practices are designed to minimize environmental impact while maximizing crop yields.

Social

Greenhills operates effective farming productivity and resilience which leads to better outcomes in terms of income for farmers, efficient food crops, and impact on the environment. We strive to help farmers create more value from the quality of their crops and help them understand crop quality attributes to create improved consumer products. Being able to leverage the natural variety of healthy diets, we can create consistency in this diversity.

Our Environmental Sustainability Approach

We are committed to sustainable farming practices that prioritize both the health of the environment and the quality of our produce. We recognize the vital role that agriculture plays in shaping the ecosystem, and we have taken significant steps to ensure that our operations do not harm the environment. Our farming practices are designed to preserve soil fertility, minimize waste, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Recently, Greenhills joined a groundbreaking initiative that promotes the use of biochar—a carbon-rich material derived from organic matter. Biochar not only revitalizes depleted soils by restoring essential nutrients but also helps in sequestering carbon, thereby cleaning the air and reducing atmospheric CO₂ levels. By incorporating biochar into our farming systems, we are improving soil health, boosting crop yields, and actively contributing to climate change mitigation.
Through these sustainable practices, we aim to leave a positive impact on the land we cultivate, ensuring its productivity for generations to come.

Greenhills Cassava Farmstead maintains a healthy relationship with its management and field staff, the communities in which our farms are located, the Ogun-state Government, and the Nation as a whole.
